Mike PeckhamMike Peckham

Partner and Master Builder

Mike Peckham has been building homes since the age of 13.  He first apprenticed for his father who was building custom homes throughout the Panhandle of Texas.  Mike has been privileged to work in all the trades giving him unique insight into the details of custom home construction.

At the age of 18, Mike owned and ran his own trim company which served many of North Dallas’ top custom builders.  In addition, Mike has served as a Construction Superintendent for Shaddock and Cook Custom Builders (3 years), Todd and Hughes Custom Builders (1 year) and Steve Roberts Custom Builders (10 years).  During this time, Mike’s trim business provided most of the interior finish work for these builders.

Mike has been on his own for the past 7 years and specializes in the custom construction of estates and villas throughout North Dallas.  Mike’s villas typically range in size from 2,800 sq. ft. to 4,200 sq. ft. and contain many of the exquisite features normally reserved for large, custom homes.  Mike’s estate homes range in size from 4,400 sq. ft. to over 14,000 sq. ft.  He is known for his intricate and unique trim work, overall quality and speed of completion.  Mike focuses on a small number of custom homes each year which enables him to spend the time necessary  to ensure each customer’s satisfaction.

bio-robinGlackinRobin R. Glackin

Managing Partner

Robin spent most of his career in financial services first as a Regional Business Manager for Citibank in New York, before moving to Texas 27 years ago to become president of a large savings and loan. Robin has also served as the Chief Administrative Officer of the Trammel Crow Company.  Upon leaving corporate management, he formed Glackin Associates, a consulting firm to the banking and mortgage banking industries.  In 1989 he, his wife and two partners, formed CAI Corporation, a firm which invested in and helped manage troubled financial institutions to realize value for their shareholders.  Later he formed Enlight Industries to acquire, restore to profitability and sell a troubled building materials manufacturing company.

Currently, Robin serves on the board of Davis Banccorp, a national bank holding company, the Churchill Stafford Scholarship Fund, a college fund and treasurer of the Starwood Home Owners Association. He. is a past board member of Commercial Federal Corporation, a New York Stock Exchange company, the American Foundation For Addiction Research and Aley United Methodist Church.

Robin serves as a Managing Partner of Peckham Custom Builders where he specializes in financing, legal and operational matters. Robin received a BA from Columbia College and an MBA from Columbia University and is an honorably discharged Navy veteran.

bio-michaelUrtsoJ. Michael Urtso

Managing Partner

Prior to joining Peckham, Michael spent 28 years with Accenture, the world’s largest consultancy, the last 16 years as a Partner.  While at Accenture, he specialized in improving business performance across a variety of industries for many Fortune 500 companies.

Michael is involved in many civic organizations and serves on the boards of Star Children’s Charity, CITY House and the PISD Education Foundation.  Michael has also assisted the National Kidney Foundation with local fund raisers and is an active member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church.

Michael is responsible for Peckham’s financial, accounting and marketing matters and serves on Peckham’s Managing Partner Committee.  He has a BA in Accounting from West Virginia University and earned his MBA in Finance from that same institution.

Managing Partner

For the past 26 years, Jim has been involved in all aspects of the real estate business.  He spent the first nine years of his career with Trammell Crow Company, the nation’s largest real estate development company.  In 1992, he formed Duggan Realty Advisors which provides a broad range of real estate services including tenant representation, construction management, property management, office and retail development, real estate advisory services and general brokerage activities for the acquisition and disposition of real estate assets.  In 2007, Jim was honored to serve as Chairman of the Plano Planning and Zoning Commission.

Prior to working in the real estate industry, Jim spent five years as a CPA with a Big Six accounting firm specializing in tax planning and compliance.  He graduated from the University of Iowa in 1978 with a BBA, double major in accounting and finance.

At Peckham, Jim is responsible for all strategic real estate investments and assists with financial and legal matters.

Office Manager

Melissa began working as a Production Coordinator for a national production home builder, Richmond American Homes, in Denver, CO. After 2 years with the company she transferred to Dallas, TX to assist in opening their new division. During the next 3 years she was given multiple responsibilities and had to work closely with each department. This gave her a great deal of understanding about the business and opportunity that helped further her career. She then accepted a position as Operations Liaison with Standard Pacific Homes. This position was created to implement a process that shortened the time it took to start a home and decrease the amount of time it took to complete a home.

During Melissa’s tenure here she also assisted in the implementation of a construction scheduling software system that was piloted in the Dallas division and eventually put into operation throughout the other divisions in the company. Melissa has worked on the custom side of home building where she has worked as the Purchasing Manager / Office Manager. She has been a part of building custom homes that range from 4,000 sq. ft. to over 19,000 sq. ft. The styles varied from Contemporary to Traditional and Villas to Estate homes.

Melissa joined Peckham in March, 2009 as the Office Manager. She is responsible for all accounting, operations of the office, and assisting Mike Peckham throughout the process of each project.
